Developer Sting has worked itself into a pretty nice little rhythm these days. The company does a lot of niche gaming, focusing on smaller projects like Rondo of Swords and Dokapon Kingdom for Atlus, and then churns out a full-on AAA effort every couple of years. We got Riviera on GBA, later ported over to PSP. Yggdra Union hit after that, and now Knights in the Nightmare, a strategy RPG that blends some of the best art I've seen on DS with a moody, haunting presentation, some great music, and a game design that truly invents its own genre. It has a high barrier of entry, it's hands-down the most complex handheld game I've ever played, but once you understand it all it'll suck you in. Fans of The World Ends With You, Disgaea, and of course any of Sting's previous handhelds efforts should pay close attention; this may be one of the most innovative, beautiful, and imaginative handheld games you've ever played.
